Quick Apply Full-time 10 hours ago Full Job Description We are a boutique civil litigation law firm looking for a legal assistant/receptionist to undertake a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.
You will work under the supervision of an attorney, providing administrative support on a variety of assigned cases.
Must be proficient with a variety of software applications, including but not limited to, case management software and Microsoft Office.
Must have excellent phone and communication skills as well.
Duties include:
Assist paralegals with document gathering and court filing as needed Ensure the case management system reflects current statuses on cases Prepare initial client documents Draft attorney correspondence Prepare initial intake and screenings Answer phone calls, take notes/messages and redirect calls when appropriate Maintain/update client cost sheets (used for tracking expenses) Update and maintain the virtual case files Maintain calendars of all legal deadlines and providing timely reminders Requirements:
Highly organized and detail oriented Proficiency with MS Office Working knowledge of case management software systems Outstanding time-management skills and the ability to multitask Great communication and listening skills Experience as a legal secretary is a plus Job Type:
